Since the assembly will be installed into GAC, you may try to load it. If fails, then we can say it's not properly installed.

For instance:

System.Reflection.Assembly.Load("System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35");
