Web User Control with AJAX 1.0

Hello all,

Well Its been quite some time since I posted this. and I'm still stucked here. Can some tell me some link where I can find such an example as described above in my post(I've tried a lot to search, but in vain). Also, can we mail to any of the site for AJAX 1.0 for further queries. Please tell me if any such link is there.

Thanks.

The scriptmanager has to be present on the page during the Init event, if I recall correctly, and ascx files don't get parsed until much later. The approved way of getting ajax user controls to work is to have the scriptmanager on the page that's doing to host it, and then use a scriptmanagerproxy on the user control. If you really want to have a user control that you can deploy to a page that doesn't have a script manager on it, then you might be able to achieve this by overriding the OnInit method. Just be sure you test for the existence of a scriptmanager control before adding a new one.

Thanks Paul for your reply. I was really looking for such kind of documentation. I'll try to implement it now.

Thanks again.
